A 6.5-Magnitude Earthquake struck Padang, West Sumatra, Indonesia
BMKG, Indonesian Geological Survey reported that a 6.5-magnitude earthquake hit the coast of West Sumatra, Indonesia about 3 minutes long duration at 05:65:01 this morning, June 2nd 2016. It was from the epicenter 79 kilometer west-northwest town of Padang, capital of the West Sumatra province, was at a dept of 72 kilometer.
Some local newspapers and a national radio broadcast (RRI) reported that there were no victims and no damages from that strike. A mayor town of Padang, Mr Mahyeldi just on air, broad-casted at RRI public radio to confined all the citizen that they should not be panic and be calm down, keep doing and continuing the activities.
